Assistant Building Surveyor

An established firm of Chartered Surveyors based in Central Birmingham are seeking an Assistant Building Surveyor with a minimum of 2 years Private Practice experience to join their Building Consultancy team.

With a broad portfolio of clients built purely on recommendation, this Consultancy are very much at the forefront of Property/Construction consultancies in the Midlands and have ambitious expansion plans over the next 5 years.

The successful Assistant Building Surveyor will be joining a team who pride themselves on offering a continued level of exceptional Client Service.

The Company

An established firm of Chartered Surveyors who have been established for over 20 years work purely within the Private Sector and have a varied portfolio of clients including owner-occupiers, investors and developers.

With all work load generated from recommendations, the head of Building Consultancy is looking to recruit an Assistant Building Surveyor to help grow the team and will receive expert support from a team of extremely Experienced Building Surveyor's.

The company have a commitment to the long term development of all individuals and pride themselves on being accredited investors in people.

The Role

The successful Assistant Building Surveyor will have an extremely varied job role with all necessary disciplines covered to work towards MRICS accreditation. Disciplines including;

  • Building Surveys
  • Defect Diagnosis
  • Contract Administration
  • Dilapidations
  • Party Wall Matters
  • Contract Administration
  • Specifications

The Successful Assistant Building Surveyor

This is a role ideal for an Assistant Building Surveyor whose career development may be capped or isn't getting the necessary support needed to work towards MRICS Chartership.

  • Minimum 2 years Building Surveying experience
  • Private Practice/Consultancy background
  • MSc/BSc in Building Surveying
  • Committed to career progression
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be self-motivated, ambitious and organised
