PRODUCT LINE MANAGER - Global Packaging / Print / Retail & Branded 3D Packaging / Labels
LOCATION - can be based anywhere in the UK (possibly mainland Europe)
Salary £50-58k basic + 10% bonus

*To work with the sales team and be the market specialist

*Can be based anywhere in the UK (or possibly mainland Europe)
*Some European & Global travel
*Looking for similar experience in the packaging or print market
*Must have experience of business development and driving sales growth.
*Ideal background is originally technical & then moving in to client facing
*Overall skills & knowledge needed will be around Global packaging / packaging development / structural design / working with Brands & Retailers / client presentations / lifecycle analysis / sustainability / competitor analysis /
*Ideal person could be working for either a 3D packaging company / in-house client side if been buying or producing packaging / retail labels or clothing tags co

Product Line Managers are responsible for driving top line growth and developing new business opportunities for a specific solution, in this case for Packaging. As such, you will work closely with the Sales and Product Development & Innovation teams to identify and evaluate market opportunities that convert into new or incremental sales for the packaging product line. As the market expert for the solution, you utilize this expertise to strategically drive market growth and sales wins. You are responsible for articulating packaging global consumer insights, trends, and innovations into a go to market approach- as well as being responsible for empowering the commercial organization with knowledge on the solution/product portfolio.

?Drive profitable sales growth via the packaging product line
?Optimize the packaging product line innovation portfolio and develop a rolling pipeline of revenue that fits within the product line strategy and approach
?Ensuring packaging solutions meet the customer's needs
?Identifying any unmet customer needs and resolving with innovative sustainable solutions
?Identify and target opportunities, within brands, retailers and factory partners, which will most likely achieve revenue and profit goals
?Develop total command of the packaging market and competitive landscape
?Coordinate with other product PLMs and teams to maximise opportunities across solutions
?Partner with Account Management and other PLM functions to identify opportunities for growth and identify product/solution gaps
?Ensure successful closure of identified Packaging projects
?Own the end-to-end product development, incorporating, revenue generation, innovation and specification, deployment, supply chain and quality
?Building comprehensive market knowledge to support the strategic growth development, market trends, latest technology and sustainability
?Drive expertise and flexibility with global consistency on the following functions:

?Prior product management experience within the packaging or print industry required
?Experience of business development and driving sales growth. Experience in the retail industry experience is preferred
?Competitive with a genuine desire to win
?Team player with enthusiasm for team success and ability to thrive in a cross functional organization
?Ability to work under pressure, manage large workloads and deal with challenges in a professional and calm manner
?Founded knowledge of existing and new packaging materials, techniques and merchandising and a willingness to dig into new technologies
?Understand print and manufacturing processes (analogue and digital), colour management and the customer demands on quality for colour
?Ability to understand customer objectives and able to use technical expertise to deliver packaging innovations to realization
?Confidence to use initiative and make sound commercial decisions that will benefit the business
?Excellent communication skills, at both internal and customer levels
?Experience of handling high profile customers at a senior level
?Ability to conduct training and workshops for basic to advanced level
