Why is our Reconciliations team the next step for you?
Worldpay process almost 50% of payments on the UK high street, on a typical day, we process 36 million mobile, online and in-store transactions - that's about 415 each and every second. We process payments in 126 currencies, 146 countries, and over 300 payment methods.
We are passionate about supporting our merchants and WorldPay customers to continue our status as a FTSE 100 business. Here in Manchester our Reconciliations are a key contributor to the payment process our teams are responsible for the reconciliation of merchant payments and card scheme settlements together with the reconciliation of Worldpay domestic and international bank accounts.
How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?
As a Reconciliations controller, your responsibility will be to reconcile and verify Worldpay accounts and statements in accordance with our policy. You will undertake accurate completion of account and journal postings including substantiation of P&L entries. You will investigate and report any erroneous entries and rejected payments or transactions in a timely manner. As part of a busy team, you will prioritise workload to ensure SLA's are met and continually look at ways of identifying efficiencies in processes.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
We are looking for analytically minded individuals with a curious attitude. You will have excellent attention to detail along with an ability to identify anomalies. Not only do you need to enjoy working in a fast paced setting, accuracy is key. Accountability is one of our values, we use good judgement to make the right decisions.
Technically, you will have a good working knowledge of Excel. Some experience of working within reconciliations will be very desirable. You will be a highly motivated individual who is able to work towards deadlines in a challenging environment.
We are happy to consider either recent graduates with high levels of enthusiasm, positivity and ambition looking to make their first career step or experienced individuals with solid previous reconciliations experience, a structured proven approach and strong communication skills. Additionally, a qualification or working towards AAT, Accounting or Finance Degree and a working knowledge of payment systems would be an advantage.
