The Digital Marketing Manager will enhance brand awareness, loyalty and reputation by maximising the company’s digital presence, optimise both the digital channel strategy and traffic to, and engagement with, selected digital platforms including social media, website and email. They will be assertive and confident in communicating opinions and ideas, have the drive to get things done with and through others, persistently pursue results, seek insight and identify opportunities, and be able to cooperate positively with the business needs and prioritise tasks accordingly.
Working with the Brand Communications Manager, the Digital Marketing Manager will be able to show capability in:
Digital Marketing Strategy and Insight:
Build brand value by developing a digital channel strategy and plan which maximises awareness amongst identified target groups and delivers profit targets by managing the annual digital marketing budget to plan.
Identify opportunities for growth by taking the lead in tracking and understanding short and long term digital product trends, identify brand building opportunities by analysing customer’s digital behaviour and generating insights. Secure competitive advantage by tracking industry digital communications activity.
Improve performance of digital marketing year on year by analysing micro and macro data and continually and actively recommending improvements to our digital marketing strategy and practices
Digital Content Creation and Delivery
Maximise customer engagement with each digital platform by sourcing, proposing and managing channel appropriate content including creating and sending emailers to a large database and connect brand conversations to what’s hot by being a news junkie, tracking conversations and trends
Optimise content effectiveness by network, through designing and implementing tests
Social Media Management & Evaluation
Maximise customer engagement with social media at a local level, managing the Social Media Co-ordinators by briefing them with clear communications objectives and strategy, provide content and content briefs, track their output and ensure it reflects the brand positioning and essence. Engage, coach and develop the SMCs in their roles
You will also require knowledge of fundamental marketing principles including:
Brand Positioning, Customer Segmentation & Targeting, Setting Marketing Objectives, Communications Planning, Creative Imagination & Judgement.
