Badenoch & Clark are currently partnering with a highly esteemed and progressive company based out of Crawley towards the appointment of an Interim Financial Controller for a 12 month contract. Reporting into the Head of Financial Control, you will operate as a pivotal senior member of the finance team. As such, you will be accountable for the continual improvement of strategies and efficiencies in aid of supplementing progressive growth throughout all tiers of the company.
This is an ideal opportunity for you to showcase your financial expertise as well as your capacities for management. You will be responsible for a team of 7 and as such must be pro-active in your day-to-day approach as well as showcasing the communicative skills required to relay crucial information towards tangible improvements. Whilst it is vital that you have the foresight necessary to enact company objectives, you must also be meticulous paying close attention to detail.

Key Accountabilities:
Main activities and Accountabilities
*Address and drive an appropriate financial structure for the future of the business, considering the move to control the business via business units
*Be the cross functional lead on structural changes which drive efficiency and improvement
*Work with a small finance team at to ensure appropriate accounting for Revenue, Costs and Cash and suggest improvements to reporting and controls
*Drive changes necessary to adhere to Accounting Standards, e.g. the new Revenue
Standard IFRS 15 due 2018
*Regularly review and improve Cash Control and flows
*Hold regular reviews of the Balance Sheet to maintain great control
*Responsible for certain returns/reports for company entities to local management and to US parent and external bodies.
*Overheads and cost center controls and key outputs to the finance business partner including labour rates calculations
*Managing the accounts payable and expenses function
*Sarbanes Oxley development and compliance

*The candidate will be qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant with large company experience in excess of 5 years
*Strong team management experience
*Strong communication skills at all levels
*Previous experience of long-term contract accounting
*Strong excel and systems skills
*Experience of system changeover desirable but not essential
