Sewell Moorhouse are exclusively working with a large US owned business based near Leeds City Centre who are looking for a Senior Commercial Accountant. This is a varied and finance business partnering role that will play a key part in reducing costs for the business and maximising profit. Due to the size and scale of the company, opportunities for progression and constantly apparent for hard working individuals.

You will be responsible for looking after 7 sites across Yorkshire and will be managing two part qualified accountants.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for the following:

-Business partnering with the General Managers on each site
-Examining any P&L issues and really getting into the detail of where money can be recovered
-Supporting with month end and being prepared to be very hands on and post journals when required
-Looking at the sales P&L and presenting the results to the Director of Operations
-Strongly focusing on monthly and quarterly forecasts for the different sites
-Looking at project costs and where any savings can be made
-Looking at the yearly budgets
-Evaluation of bid responses for bespoke pricing bids
-Strong focus around complicated reconciliations

You will need to be a tenacious and strong minded qualified accountant who is confident in business partnering with non-finance departments. You must not be afraid to challenge Senior Management Teams and need to have a strong background in financial and management accounting.
