Badenoch & Clark are excited to be working alongside an instantly recognisable company based out of Crawley towards the appointment of a Financial Accounting Manager. If successful, you will be responsible for managing the Financial Accounting Team and as such must have demonstrable management experience in your recent CV. The role requires you to have an exemplary technical accounting background, evidence of working within a top 10 practice would be increasingly favourable to your application. The nature of the role lends itself to someone who is able to 'see the bigger picture' and have a meticulous attention to detail simultaneously.
Key Accountabilities:
*Heading up the technical finance functions, advising the CFO, Head of Financial Control and senior business management (as appropriate) on such matters, while ensuring that the company implement and comply with statutory policies.
*Developing and implementing best practice accounting policies and procedures in line with IFRS.
*Completion of all external financial reporting to regulatory bodies, shareholders, and other stakeholders, including responsibility for relationships with the group's accounting and tax advisors.
*Key involvement in bond issuances and refinancing by group entities as appropriate.
*The successful delivery of specific projects and initiatives across the Finance function

*Managing the Financial Accounting Team, comprising part and fully qualified accountants. Support effective succession planning through staff retention and development.
*Deliver the annual statutory reporting and half-yearly bank and bond holder requirements.
*Working with third party advisors to develop and implement best practice financial accounting and reporting policies and procedures. Maximising the opportunity to efficiently leverage the reporting functionality of SAP
*Support the Head of Financial Control in ensuring that adequate controls are embedded in the business and are complied with.
*3-4 years post qualification experience preferably Big-4 qualified.
*Experience at a group level in a FTSE 250 company.
*Experience of managing teams and a demonstrable track record of staff development.
*In depth knowledge of IFRS and statutory consolidation procedures. preferred
*Knowledge of tax accounting beneficial, as is knowledge of SAP and reporting tools.
