Hays are recruiting exclusively for an Accounts Assistant for a client based in North Stafford, close to the A34, M6 and other transport links. This Accounts Assistant job will form part of the workforce of this client with a turnover of c£23m and an international presence.
Our client specialises in providing a sourcing service for companies and their equipment. Our client is looking for this Accounts Assistant to join their team alongside the two existing positions, to strengthen the accounts team.

Your new role
This Accounts Assistant position will be working closely alongside the two existing Accounts Assistants. This role will ideally be managing the transactional processes for the UK accounts, working alongside the two existing Accounts Assistants who manage the international accounts.
You will be working with the purchase ledger (AP) and sales ledger (AR) as well as some credit control. This role has scope to progress to include responsibility for more duties dependant on the requirements of the business and the suitability of the accounts assistant.
On a day to day basis as accounts assistant you will be working in a close knit accounts team with a good support network and study support provided. You will be open to change and will have a desire to progress your accounting career.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be studying your AAT however this is not essential. Applications from those who are qualified by experience, graduates or AAT qualified will be considered as will applications from those who have experience in a different field but are looking to move to finance.
You will have a can-do attitude and will be confident. You will be able to work the required hours which for this client due to the need to work across time-zones, will be 0730-1630 Monday to Thursday and 0730-1500 on Fridays. You will have an hour break per day, split into x2 15 minute breaks and x1 30 minute break.
