My client are a property development and management company operating within London and M25 remit, seeking a procurement focussed individual to develop the procurement function to a more strategic level.

This is a new, stand alone procurement position well suited to a dynamic, analytical, strategic and driven individual comfortable working within a fast paced environment and operating across a range of direct and indirect categories.

The client, an SME with a portfolio of c. 16 properties ranging from high end commercial developments to high end residential apartments, are open to developing a procurement professional at the earlier stage of their career as well as being happy with an already experienced professional.

Details of this procurement position are:

Location - Central London

Salary - £35,000-£45,000

Key responsibilities of this procurement role are:
- Lead the procurement functions evolution towards a more strategic level
- Continue to manage and develop stakeholder and strategic supplier relationships
- Cover and support the procurement of all direct and indirect areas across the business ranging from Construction, Hard and Soft FM through to IT and HR
- Negotiation of pricing and commercial contracts to ensure optimal costs and managed risks
- Control of departmental and company wide expenditure budgets
- Identify and deliver cost reduction and risk mitigation initiatives
- Manage and develop the preparation of essential procurement reports and spend metrics for senior management
