Immediate Job opportunity in Birmingham for a Mechanical Engineer with gas infrastructure experience.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical engineering solutions for use in the onshore gas and petrochemical industries. This is a huge opportunity for someone looking for an immediate start, to carry out the following responsibilities.

  • Design of AGI's & Pipelines
  • Key FPSA participation
  • Development of piping & Instrumentation diagrams, ELD's, Material Take-offs & ISO's.
  • Writing specifications for mechanical equipment
  • Working with equipment vendors on developing designs for equipment packages
  • Supporting development of plant layouts
  • Reviewing the designs during both tender proposal and detailed design phases of a project.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be confident in providing professional engineering advise to both clients and multi-disciplinary teams on issues concerning all aspects of gas infrastructure projects.You will be a self-starter who has a very good understanding of AGI's and pipeline design covering the whole project life cycle from feasibility study to detailed design. You will possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineer or equivalent, as well as an in depth knowledge of gas processes and national and international codes and standards.
