Teacher of Geography
TEACHER OF HUMANITIES (GEOGRAPHY SPECIALIST) required for September.
A secondary academy in Northamptonshire are looking for a Teacher of Geography to join their succcessful Humanities department.
There is one clear aim within the Humanities department at this academy; they seek to inspire through exploration!
At this academy, humanities is all about independent and group exploration. They encourage students to explore the world around them and beyond; exploring the cultures of the world and different belief systems; delving into the past and uncovering events and truths that have gone before. They are passionate about instilling in students the importance all these elements have played, and play, in shaping the world that we live in today. The successful candidate will:
- Be a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher with the desire to inspire and motivate students to achieve and succeed in Humanities.
- Have experience teaching humanities across Key Stage 3, and be able to demonstrate experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 4. Experience teaching at Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but not essential.
- Be willing to go above and beyond what is expected, encouraging students to take a holistic view of the study of Humanities.
- Possess a tenacious ambition for their students, seeking to give them exciting and engaging opportunities for learning.
