Occupational Health Advisor

Basic Salary up to £39,000 depending on experience

Health Assured is one of the leading Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and Occupational Health (OH) providers in the UK dealing with many of the UK's leading organisations across private, public and non-profit sectors.

This role is best-suited for an experienced nurse from a strong Occupational Health (OH) background. With some requirement for working in the Field providing OH Assessments for our diverse client base the ideal applicant should be prepared to travel.

Dedication, enthusiasm for the job and hard work are essentials as is a high level of focus on service delivery and customer care. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate's main duties will consist of delivering OH Management Referrals and immediate support for employees off with stress over the phone as well as liaising and advising HR Contacts and Managers on all aspects of the OH service. Membership of the relevant governing bodies and College's is also a must as is a supportive, caring and assertive telephone manner.

Essential Job Functions:

- Deliver OH Management Referral assessments to employees as requested by their companies

- Deliver Day 1 'Active Care' intervention on stress for employees off with stress

- Deliver Return to Work Assessments as requested by companies

- Provide on-going telephonic advice and support to HR and management on all aspects of the OH service

- Travel to organisations to provide onsite support (e.g. Forklift Truck Driver Assessments etc.) where necessary

- Provide timely concise and well written reports that provide the right balance of recommendations and history for the organisation.

Requirements:

- Either a Specialist Degree or a Diploma in Occupational Health

- Absence management experience

- Experience of providing telephone based advice/guidance

- Current Licence (preferably Part 3 of Register) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

- Currently practising

- High level of computer literacy (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- High level of organisational ability
