SHE Coordinator Eden Scott's client is a multinational facilities management company that operates across the globe and in the UK alone employs more than 40,000 heads. They have a major engineering customer in Edinburgh who are currently looking to add an additional member to the team. The role: You would be employed directly by our facilities management client however; this role would be based on site with one of their customers and your daily reporting line would be to the UK SHE Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To work within the requirements of their customers Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring that all non-conformances and opportunities for improvement are brought to the attention of the UK SHE Manager Preparation in the delivery of SHE Induction programme Preparing and assessing risk assessments, COSHH, noise, manual handling and fire risk Ensure Safe Systems of Work are followed as part of Control of Contractors process To provide a prompt and polite service in response to all customer requests, ensuring that customer requirements are always satisfied Ensure that the customers security and emergency procedures are adhered to at all times, taking an active role in an evacuation of the building as laid down in the Incident Control Procedures Provide administrative support and to carry out any other related tasks as and when requested. Member of integrated site facilities team of approximately 70 personnel 3rd party liaison EXPERIENCE: NEBOSH National Diploma (or working towards it/ equivalent qualification) NEBOSH National Certificate in Environmental Management (or working towards it/ equivalent) Internal Auditor (ISO 9001/ ISO 14001/ BS EN 18001) Managing SHE matters on a large and diverse site Good working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems compliant with the ISO14001 standard Good communication skills, with ability to describe and convey SHE requirements to a large range of people. Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office products Be able to plan and co-ordinate SHE projects e.g. noise surveys Carrying out Fire Risk Assessments (desirable) An understanding of Radioactive material (desirable) Preparing and delivering training packages The ideal candidate will come from a sizable manufacturing company with experience is a similar role, internal audit experience and certification in NEBOSH will be of particular interest.
