01721 - PANEL BEATER - EXETER- £20,000 - £22,000 PA Bond Recruitment is currently recruiting for a panel beater to join an energetic workshop inExeter this is a career advancing opportunity to grown with the companyThe role and responsibilities:º Assessing a vehicle to establish the extent of damageº Based on the initial assessment, deciding whether to repair or replace bodyworkº Removing damaged panelsº Stripping and refitting trim and panel interiorº Refitting new/repaired panelsº Repairing damaged bodywork using traditional dolly and hammer or more modern techniquesº Repairing small dents, holes or corroded areas using a compound fillerº During the repair process, specific tasks may include:º Using jig alignment equipmentº Using a Strong Puller to pull out any damage to semi-structural vehicle parts, such as the wheel arch or the bonnetº Using a Line Puller to pull out damage to non-structural (cosmetic) panelsº Using an Easy Puller to repair minor dents and to refine the work performed by the Strong and Line Pullers on other panels.º A paint technician will usually be employed by the bodyshop but the panel technician may be expected to prepare the vehicle for them in the following way:º Removing existing paint and corrosionº Ensuring the area to be resprayed is cleanº Masking off the parts of the vehicle which are not going to be resprayed.º A certain amount of administration and customer interaction is also required:º Keeping a record of work carried out and time takenº Liaising with the customer or insurance companyº Providing quotations and estimationsAdditional Information £20,000 - £22,000 pa plus benefits that include a generous holiday entitlement, training and pension and free parking.Hours are 8:30-17:00 (30 mins for lunch), Mon-Fri with 22 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays.Personal specification:º Good organisational skillsº The ability to pay attention to detailº A commitment to excellenceº A flexible attitudeº The ability to be adaptableº Strong interpersonal skillsº Good communication skillsº The ability to work without supervisionº The ability to stay motivated in all circumstancesº The ability to work to tight deadlinesº The ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain highIf you feel you are an ideal fit for this vacancy please do not hesitate to apply by emailing your CV to Sian Buckler at Panel beater, Panel Technician, Vehicle Technician, Body Repair Technician, Motor Vehicle Body Repairer
