About us:

Our journey starts with two French, young professionals; one being an expert marketeer, the other a talented producer. Three years ago, they joined forces to start an agency. House of Greenland is a young, quirky, content/branding agency located just off Broadway Market, in London Fields. Our company is split between two core departments and focuses; the branding and content side, and the television/documentary series developers.

In the former camp, many of our retainer clients are industry giants such as; Google, Samsung, The Tate Britain, The Barbican, The Royal Shakespeare Company, and Redbull. For these clients we manage multiple products, projects, departments and offices. For example, with regards to Google, we handle strategy across Adsense, Adwords, Doubleclick, Digital Garage, Grow with Google and many others - across their Australian, UK, EMEA and American offices.

The role:

Here at House of Greenland, we are looking for a strategically minded business hunter who can take charge of sourcing new business and new contacts for us while contributing to building strategies addressing these business needs.

As Business Development Consultant, you would lead business generation, build relationships and own meetings. We expect this employee to be a new business development veteran, bring a career of good working relationships and contacts to the role. The mission of the House of Greenland business development team is to build brand equity and drive organic and net new business growth with purposeful marketing that harnesses insight and data. As the leading force behind the team, the Business Development Consultant will lead the team’s marketing and new business efforts at an exciting time, including; client relationship expansion, organic growth via specialist services, prospecting strategies, reporting, social media and supporting in the co-ordination and logistics of global and regional pitches. As a fairly new business, who’s already acquired a collection of big clients, we have a generous expectation of growth for 2018.

Key Responsibilities:

Building a short and long term, relevant and robust pipeline for HoG’s global portfolio. This includes building a strategy and targets all the way up to and including 2020.
Identifying core local/global targets, robust qualification processes, as well as executing and monitoring the progress.
Lead Business Development team in identifying and prioritising global reporting needs and functionality, determining budget required, approvals and launch plan.
Work with the team to define local, global and EMEA pitches, from a process and logistics perspective, working closely with the Co-Founders & Account Director to ensure excellence across RFI, RFP and presentation stages.
Assisting in negotiating contracts, costings and closing.
Devise a long-term video strategy with/for potential clients.

Person specification:
Minimum 5-7 years’ sales, business development, or account management experience. Advertising experience is key.
Proven track record of bringing on new customers from open to close.
High level of relevant media industry knowledge, including stats, trends and news.
Excellent sales and relationship building skills.
GREAT at communication and presenting.
Has a wide range of contacts across a variety of different industries.
Ambitious, versatile and proactive.
High tolerance to terrible accents and questionable puns.
