Business Development Manager, £25,000 - £32,000, (Pool Car Provided for Meetings), Wakefield.

My client are specialist suppliers to the construction industry and seek an experienced business development manager to manage existing and new client sales as well as overseeing full bid and tender follow ups with new projects. You will be responsible for working internally whilst visiting clients across the UK to manage the full sales process as well as working with internal support teams to produce accurate quotations/estimations.

This role is full time, permanent, based at the head office in Wakefield, parking is provided on site. You will be expected to visit prospective clients situated across the UK, a company vehicle will be provided to you as well as expenses paid by the client.

Key aspects to the role

Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients including contractors and mechanical consultants
Visit prospective/existing clients to provide technical information on the Company's products and Services
Occasionally deliver presentations about the products and services
Follow up quotations until a sales outcome is achieved
Follow the bidding process with prospective clients whilst issuing information to partner with them once the bid has been accepted

Leads are generated on behalf of the BDM however you will be expected to follow up lapsed quotations, follow tender processes of prospective clients and develop relationships over long periods of time to win new projects.

Skills & Experience Required

To be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate previous B2B sales experience ideally gained from the mechanical, technical or engineering industry. You must have proven experience of managing the stages of the sales cycle from new lead enquiries, booking appointments to sales conversion. Good presentation skills and excellent communication attributes are essential for this role, as it a full UK license.
