CCS | Compass Corporate Services have a fantastic job opportunity for a Nurse Training Officer - Regional which has been created due to a recent growth in business, for a talented registered nurse and clinical trainer (with active pin) who is interested in furthering their career and to be part of a personable and welcoming in-house training and development team.

Overview- Nurse Training Officer - Regional

Reporting directly into the Head of Training, the ideal candidate for this position will be nurse qualified with a background in delivering clinical training. Having a teaching qualification i.e CertEd/PGCE/PTTLs etc. Would be highly desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

This is a key position within the training division, keeping at the forefront of clinical practice and you will be responsible for facilitating the development of the home trainers, nurses and other teams. Duties will include; delivering clinical training (i.e. Venopunture, Catherisation, etc…), supporting statutory and mandatory training (when required) across the company, reporting on the development of home trainers, accurate and detailed record keeping, and ensuring that all training is provided in line with Codes of Conduct, Registration Standards, legislation and best practice guidance.

Location

This will be a home based role, however regular large travel and occasional overnight stays will be required (expensed). Services are commutable from London, Buckinghamshire, Kent, Surry, Reading, Luton, Aylesbury, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire.

You will be overseeing circa 8 services in and around London.

Essential criteria - Nurse Training Officer - Regional:

  • Registered Nurse with active pin
  • Driving licence with own vehicle
  • The ability to travel and stay away overnight
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Health and Social care environment

Desirable but not essential - Nurse Training Officer - Regional:

  • Training qualification i.e. PTLLS/CTLLS/DTLLS or PGCE or CertEd - or willingness to work towards, PTLLS/CTLLS
  • Accredited Manual Handling Trainer qualification
  • Previous experience as a Nurse Trainer or Clinical Trainer or Clinical Educator
  • Care Home or Elderly Care experience is highly desirable
  • Teaching and Assessment skills
