Baby Room Practitioner
This job will suit a Baby room Nursery Practitioner who loves to respond to the needs of young babies and is able to form warm loving bonds. Someone who understands that babies need someone to communicate with them throughout the day in a loving way, who will support them to develop a sense of security in their new environment and will then get them involved in a wide range of activities as part of their daily routine. You will enjoy going outside with babies in all weathers. You will need to understand the anxieties of parents of young babies and be able to build good relationships with the parents by communicating sensitively with them on a daily basis. Being a good listener, able to tune into babies, parents and team members is vital.
You will be required to keep written records of your key children's day, make observations of their development and learning and to maintain their learning journal. Staff are well supported at minihome to do this.
You will need to be a person who understands that there is constant mess in a busy baby room that will need to be tidied and cleaned by you as you go along to maintain safety and hygiene but still allowing for fun stuff to do for babies.

Baby room is run by a highly experienced room leader who is able to support new staff to settle in well and loves to work with motivated staff with interesting ideas and energy to contribute to the room. Able staff are encouraged to take on tasks that interest them and benefit the team and the babies and parents.
This post will need you to be able to sit on the floor and get up and down and to carry babies for their comfort.
