Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer job in Leicester working a 3 shift pattern, Monday to Friday.

Your new role
Your primary responsibility is to maintain all conveyor and machinery systems in order to support the goals of the site. Provide technical expertise for day to day issues and provide solutions for recurring problems. A thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical and operational controls associated with the conveyor systems and building equipment and components is required in order to maintain assets and provide maximum system uptime. The job scope includes recommending changes to and executing preventative maintenance programs and repairs to material handling equipment, powered industrial equipment, building envelope and building MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing) systems. This position will be responsible for properly completing work requests as well as projects of a complex nature.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll hold a recognised apprenticeship in an engineering discipline to be successful and be Qualified to IEE wiring regulations 17th Edition. If you have an HND/HNC qualification in an engineering discipline that would be preferable but not essential. You'll have a background of working on automated conveyor systems or in a manufacturing/FMCG environment. You'll be able to demonstrate experience of working on a range of machinery including conveyors and PLCs. Your ability to self-manage and priorities workloads will be extremely valuable and your capability of reading, following and understand electrical and mechanical drawings. You will also be able to fault find within a "Live" environment.
