My client is a family run independent group of opticians who are very established in the local communities with a strong reputation for customer service and patient care.

They are looking to recruit a full time optometrist to work between 2 practices in the Cardiff area.

This is a relaxed working environment where customer focus is a priority with all pre-testing done for you by the support team.
My client is looking for an enthusiastic, upbeat person looking to work in an independent where the customer is your primary concern.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

The role will involve conducting sight tests in 25-30 minute time slots ensuring plenty of time to make a strong recommendation. Contact lens fittings and aftercares are also part of the role. As this is an independent company that is renowned for going the extra mile you will be expected to come onto the shop floor to answer questions and get involved with patients as well.

Requirements of the Optometrist

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 1 years post qualification experience ideally within a clinical practice. You will possess excellent communication skills and will be passionate about delivering the highest possible levels of care. You will be hard working and dynamic – happy to go the extra mile. Within this company everyone is expected to take a certain amount of ownership and to treat their patents as though they were their own.

Compensation for the Optometrist

For your services my client is offer a more than competitive basic salary around the £65,000 mark for the right person and there are additional benefits including a strong bonus scheme of between £5,000-£20,000 and the opportunity to develop your skills.
