An exciting opportunity has a risen for an experienced Finance and Payroll Assistant to join an incredibly successful organisation based in Medway.

Job Title: Finance & Payroll Assistant


Reports to
: Senior Finance Officer

The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the payroll function, inclusive of all reporting management information for payroll performance, ensuring all financial data associated with payroll is correct for financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing payroll; responsible for all payroll tasks.
• Process and provide support to the Finance team to ensure the payroll reports are accurate for the posting of the payroll Journal.
• To support employees on their queries, with resolution from the point of query to response within 48 hours, and where resolution cannot be identified, acknowledgement of the query with an anticipated response date.
• Recording of all pay query issues in a timely and accurate manner for full visibility for other stakeholders.
• Raising cheques / BAC’s payments for authorisation. 
• Inputting starters and leavers and processing necessary paperwork for payroll.
• Provide information to produce KPI’s on a monthly basis.
• Support Finance team when people are on holiday.

Experienced required:

• CIPP qualification at intermediate level would be desirable
• Level 2 AAT.
• Established and proven experience leading and managing the payroll function in a mid to large size organisation.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package.
• Working knowledge of Sage Line 50.
• Working knowledge of Sage Payroll.
• Accounts preparation up to and including Trial Balance.
