Compliance Test Engineer
Role: Compliance Test Engineer Location: Oldham Contract: Permanent Hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday Compliance Test Engineer The Candidate You will be have experience of carrying out testing or compliance or products. You will have a minimum of 3 years within a similar role such as Electronics Test Engineer. You will also have the following skills and experience… A range of testing skills including o Root Cause Analysis o Diagnostics/repair to component level o Ability to report findings in an appropriate professional manner o Confidence to present opinions in a clear and unbiased manner. • Must have sound knowledge of electronics, electrical or mechanical testing • Ability to diagnose, repair and determine root cause of failure • Ideally you will be educated to HNC / HND in an engineering discipline • Experience of a range of testing including reliability testing • Highly self-motivated • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels • Knowledge of international regulatory requirements would be beneficial but is not essential • Good communicator • Able to multi-task but complete all tasks in a timely manner • Analytical approach Compliance Test Engineer The Role The Compliance Test Engineer will be responsible for the validation testing of new and existing products to functional specification including environmental, mechanical and software testing. In addition, the role will have secondary responsibility for regulatory requirements, EMI/EMC and Product Safety requirements. You will manage and organise products testing with the following responsibilities… •Manage and coordinate the testing team in a manual and automated testing environment. •Record, tabulate and analyse test results •Carry out life testing of products and coordinate a wide range of other testing •Testing will include life and reliability, transaction, environmental, firmware, electronic and fraud prevention testing. •Carry out fault finding and root cause diagnosis on products •Ensure products comply with EMI / EMC requirements and liaise with external test houses.
