Business Development Manager
Salary - £60-70K, plus commission
Based in City of London, Bank Tube

Job Purpose:
Responsible for producing and delivering our strategic business development plan aimed to win new clients and generate additional revenue for the company
Researching, networking, arranging appointments and presenting to clients to attract and win new business
Identifying relevant tender opportunities and managing the bidding processes through to completion

Areas of Activity/Responsibility:
Develop and implement a strategic business development plan in conjunction with Senior Management Team (SMT) colleagues
Keep the SMT updated regarding business development activities and results
Develop strategic relationships with target client contacts including Procurement and central enablers, and conduct regular face to face meetings
Develop a deep understanding of target clients in terms of their strategic direction, process, change requirements
Identify opportunities for the various service lines within current and new client companies
Increase the visibility and positioning of within the Financial Services market
Own the sales process from initial identification of opportunity through proposal and closure, while supported by the service line for content and pricing
Devise professional and targeted email, social media and telephone sales campaigns
Network and develop effective business relationships with tier one (Gold) Contractors/Associates
Attend/present at sector events, workshops etc.
Make effective use of Social Media to contribute to and keep up to date with market specific news, discussions, comments etc.
Contribute to the development of new marketing materials and media

Previous Experience
Business development - preferably gained within a recruitment and/or financial services company
Customer/Client relationship management
Strategy and business planning
Understanding of the financial services industry
Experience of building client relationships that have resulted in winning business
Influencing and problem solving
Proven experience of meeting deadlines
Understanding of change management/I.T. - desirable
Highly analytical and able to interpret data
Exceptional networking and negotiating skills
Experience of meeting project deadlines
Highly credible verbal and written communicator, including professional presentation skills
Experience of formal bidding processes
