Job Title: Key Stage 2 Provision Unit Teaching Assistant

Length: On-Going (with a view to going permanent)

Pay: £63.70 - £80 Depending on Experience

A Manchester Primary School in Wythenshawe are currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work full time supporting pupils within their Key Stage 2 provision unit.

This school is one of the fastest improving schools in Manchester and offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities to enhance the children’s development. The school attaches great importance to pastoral care and the development of a caring environment within the school is something which is fundamental to the school. All staff take an active role in the pastoral care of the children.

You will need to have a strong commitment to pupils’ learning as well as caring and supportive qualities. Children’s achievements are very important and the staff all work with great enthusiasm to make sure that each child achieves the very best they can.

This post will involve supporting children with SEMH within the Key Stage 2 Provision Unit. You will be working with groups of Key Stage 2 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health so knowledge of SEMH Is Essential. It will involve individual and group work under the direction of the SENCO out of the classroom. The applicant will also be required to liaise with outside agencies, for example the Sensory Support Service and be able to work from IEP’s.
