IT and Business Support Administrator

Location: Boscombe

Position: Permanent, Full time. Monday to Friday.

Salary: £16k - £20k DOE

Our client, a busy medical group with headquarters based in Boscombe, is now looking for an IT and Business Support Administrator to join their team.

The successful candidate will support the IT and Business Support Manager in providing IT support and effective system administration for all surgeries. As part of the role, you will be asked to visit other surgeries in the group to provide IT/Admin support as and when required, therefore driving licence is essential.

Key responsibilities

* Assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks relating to the IT and Business Support function

* Windows Desktop and Network support, as well as SystmOne (clinical system) software support

* Preparation of meeting rooms including set up of presentation equipment and assistance with the maintenance, movement and setup of all IT and medical equipment

* Creating and unlocking Smartcard profiles

* Provide assistance with CQC administration, registrations and preparation for inspections

* Follow auditing processes, leading to performance reports/metrics & data entry (excel skills essential)

* Process all IT for starters and leavers

* Maintain and develop communication systems e.g. VoiP telephony, Docmail & MJog (training provided)

* Assist staff by providing advice on GDPR and completing SARs

* Completing Pathology administration duties daily

* Ability to fill in for various administrative roles as and when needed (e.g. annual leave/ sickness cover)

* Working in accordance with company policies and procedures and ensuring complete confidentiality and diplomacy at all times

Experience/skills required

* Previous experience of working in an Administrative role, ideally as part of an IT function

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Sound understanding of IT systems including good working knowledge of Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office troubleshooting (proficient use of all MO programmes is essential)

* Ability to take a calm and methodical approach to your work, whilst being adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

* Experience of maintenance and upkeep of office equipment, i.e. printers and copiers, etc.

* Knowledge of NHS clinical systems desirable but training will be provided
