We are currently working on an interesting role for a Legal / Contracts Specialists with our truly brilliant client a large, well established company who are based on the Science Park in Cambridge. The company are a busy games development studio and are on the lookout for someone to take responsibility for all internal legal contacts. Recently they have moved into a brand new and very impressive purpose built facility with all mod cons!

The purpose of the role is to take responsibility for the arrangement of contracts including Purchasing contracts, IP licenses, Software Licences, Outsource contracts, NDA’s and liaison with external legal specialists as appropriate (such as property, trademarks, HR). You will also work closely with business development, procurement and other internal stakeholders to provide guidance on contractual issues, participate in the sourcing process and draft and review contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

* Understand and deliver on the specific contract requirements for a range of stakeholders including marketing, IT, development teams and procurement

* Support the Procurement Manager with some aspects of the sourcing process which may include development of scope, tender assessments and contract writing

* Engage, challenge and influence internal stakeholders and provide guidance on appropriate processes, risk management and other contractual issues

* Serve as the first internal point of contract and escalation for contractual issues

* Ensure that the company’s legal documentation e.g. T’s & C’s and NDA’s are reviewed to reflect changes in the legal landscape and the needs of the company

This is a full time, permanent role with hours of 09:00 – 17:30 Monday – Friday. There may some flexibility in terms of start and finish times if required. * Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills; ability to engage with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the company

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Strong attention to detail

* Pragmatic approach in supporting contract owners to deliver on business objectives whilst driving value and managing risk effectively

* The ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal stakeholders at all levels

* Strong contract knowledge from either a legal or paralegal background

* Previous procurement experience would be advantageous

* Previous experience in the video game or digital media industry would be advantageous but not essential
