Our Client, a leading organisation within the technology and consultancy sector is currently seeking a Training Officer to join their dynamic team on a full time, permanent basis in Luton. The suitable candidate will be responsible for playing a critical role to support the provision of the Modern Apprenticeship Programme in Luton, on client site.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

* Providing line management for Apprentices for the duration of their programme including 12 weekly reviews and supporting disciplinary/capability situations

* Acting as the sites focal point and day-to-day contact for all Apprentice related issues

* Developing a learning culture and environment that supporting the development of Apprentices skills, knowledge and careers

* Coordinating all Apprentice plans, ensuring Apprenticeships are of the highest quality and that all Apprentices receive appropriate training and support

* Monitoring, assessing and verifying competencies and learner performance against recognised awarding body/regulatory standards

* Working closely with third party providers to co-ordinate college assessment and monitor Apprentice attendance, progress and performance

* Managing and maintaining learner data and tracking progress

* Supporting self-assessment, quality audits and evaluation activities

* Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met

* Organising and chairing the local apprentice governance group meetings

* Providing coaching and development on a one-to-one basis

* Supporting Apprentice recruitment by attending recruitment activities and events and undertaking candidate assessment and interviews

* Planning, organising and facilitating the Apprentice induction programme

* Developing and maintaining close relationships and effective communication with the client’s key stakeholders, understanding their requirements and responding to their needs

Skills and experience:

* Previous experience of early careers development programmes

* Sound knowledge of Apprenticeship framework requirements

* Sound knowledge of funding streams/systems and compliance/regulatory requirements

* Assessor award; A1 or D Units (D32, D33) ideal

* Proven experience in the design and delivery of training programmes

* Good level of IT literacy – including MS Office suite

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
