Finance/Payroll Manager

An award winning swim school is looking to recruit a Finance/Payroll Manager for their head office in Ipswich. The role will also cover a nursery in Ipswich.

The role of the Finance/Payroll Manager is demanding and varied and requires excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work alone, whilst forming an integral part of the Management Team.

The job role includes, but not limited to:

- Use Xero accounts system and Sage 50 payroll
- Sales reconciliations and control of the ledger
- Purchase invoice processing and control of the ledger
- Purchase payments weekly and monthly
- Monthly credit card processing
- Daily/Weekly Direct Debit updating and reconciling
- Banking and full reconciliation across the group
- Intercompany invoicing and reconciliations
- VAT returns and filing online
- Day to day bookkeeping and administration duties
- Weekly enrolment analysis
- Use of Coursepro booking software
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Preparation of the profit and loss account/balance sheets
- Full and comprehensive maintenance of the cash flow
- Preparing figures for statutory accounts, tax computations and tax returns
- Monthly payroll processing of 110-130 staff
- Monthly pension auto enrolment analysis
- Year-end payroll processing
- Operations system (Course Pro) online booking software, reconciliation to payroll/receipts
- Customer refunds
- Some HR Administration
- Responsibility for the company's IT, insurance and telecoms.
- Preparation of annual forecasts and detailed budgeting

You need to:

- Be proficient in Accounts software, Sage/Xero and Sage 50 Payroll
- Be proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook
- Have excellent focus, attention to detail and accuracy
- Have excellent communication skills, both in person and on the phone
- Be quick to pick up new skills
- Be self-motivated
- Be of smart appearance
- Be professional, enthusiastic, and friendly and have a fun personality
- A general knowledge of IT systems would be advantageous
- Have at least 5 years experience within a finance/payroll environment

Hours and Salary:
Salary to be negotiated. 40 hours per week, M-F 8.30am - 5pm with 1/2hour unpaid lunch.

28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)
