Hours: 30 per week (9am to 5pm over 4 weekdays)
Holiday entitlement: 30 days pro rata (including a 2 week shutdown over the festive period)

An excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join a friendly, small and professional team providing legal consultancy services to charitable and voluntary sector organisations.

You will be responsible for the daily management of office tasks, including all administrative and financial duties, reporting to the Managing Director. The ideal candidate will be organised and self-motivated with the ability to plan and prioritise their workload. You will be able to meet deadlines and demonstrate the ability to use your own initiative.

The office is Apple Mac-based and utilises technology to improve work flow and the quality of services delivered to clients, therefore Mac-based knowledge is essential*.

Administrative and financial duties of this role include:

- Invoicing clients
- Reception duties
- Liaising with clients, contractors and consultants
- Maintaining financial records of the company
- Processing salaries and expenses
- Liaising with accountants and HMRC when required
- Processing travel and subsistence claims
- Organising meetings between staff and clients
- Producing bundles for Tribunal hearings
- Maintaining the companies social media presence

You must have:

- A strong proficiency in the use of Apple Mac computers and be highly computer literate
- Excellent communicative skills (verbal and written)
- Polite telephone manner
- Good organisational skills
- The ability to work effectively without supervision
- The ability to multitask and switch between tasks swiftly
- Efficient diary management skills

Desirable but non-essential skills:

- Competency in using Google Apps & Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Apple iWork
- Past financial employment experience
- Experience or an interest in social media marketing
