Our client is a leading organisation currently looking for Payroller to join their Edinburgh based team. Reporting into the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the full payroll function with the opportunity to get involved with more general accounting duties such as purchase ledger. The organisation have an excellent brand name and there is a strong family feel to their working environment. Applications will be considered from candidates looking for full or part-time work.

JOB

This role will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

  • Preparing full payroll for circa 250 employees
  • Organising statutory pay where necessary
  • Processing holiday pay
  • Answering external queries from bodies such as HMRC
  • Answering internal queries
  • Processing starters & leavers etc
  • Pension administration
  • Processing overtime an any other special payment requirements
  • Payroll will incorporate at least 60% of your time
  • Matching, batching & coding purchase invoices

YOU

You will be skilled and/or qualified in the following areas:

  • Demonstrable experience carrying out the tasks listed above is essential
  • A Payroll specialist with some Purchase Ledger skills rather than Purchase Ledger specialist with some Payroll skills
  • Applications will be considered from Payrollers looking to develop their Purchase Ledger skills
  • Capable of taking responsibility for an organisations’ payroll with minimal supervision
  • Capable of answering queries with minimal input from management
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel
