Business Development Manager / London / £35,000 - £40,000 + generous bonus scheme

Ernest Hunter Green are supporting a consumer analytics business and a global leader in consumer trends prediction. Our client delivers trends in emerging tech & lifestyle, creative & cultural aspirations, spending & economics, digital & shopper experiences. They work with Fortune 500 companies and have several offices outside of London too.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to help grow the fast moving company by supporting the sales team with lead development and sales for the platform. This field sales role is primarily responsible for developing prospects, demoin, setting up and attending sales meetings and closing sales opportunities. This role will work alongside a business development associate responsible for generating new prospects, a marketing team which cultivates inbound leads and an enterprise sales teams who handle the largest corporate accounts.

The role requires the ability to understand marketing, growth, stategy, loyalty and innovation issues a B2B client may have, and position the business as a solution to these issues.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Developing and progress leads through email campaigns, 1-1 emails and coordination with marketing campaigns

• Online and in-person networking

• Booking, securing and attending sales meetings

• Online demos of the platform

• Educating prospects on the benefits of products and services including providing necessary product info and case studies

• Identifying and qualifying the business opportunity for each lead generated

• Gathering business intelligence on each qualified lead including but not limited to budget, timelines, potential competitors, purchasing agreements, etc

• Sales Support in proposals / marketing events

• Maintaining and updating the Salesforce CRM system

• Responsible for overseeing volume corporate sales (mid-sized corporate license subscriptions)

• Responsible for leading sales and developing commercial strategy for up to 5 consumer sectors

A successful candidate will possess:

• 1 - 3 years of field sales

• Demonstrated ability to exceed targets

• Knowledge and connections with consumer brands and agencies

• Preferable previous work within B2B sales in consumer field

• Experience prospecting to Director level and above decision makers

• Strong company research skills utilizing the Internet and available sales tools (Linked In, Outreach, Salesforce)

• Proven track record at achieving measurable goals

• Outstanding people skills with strong written and oral communication skills

• Self motivated with a strong ability to support and motivate others

• Ability to work well under pressure and proven ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to work with a team and collective strategies

• Adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously, well organized and excellent self-

• Work in growing area of customer analytics and emotion intelligence
