Person Specification for Complex Needs Teacher

You must be a creative Complex Needs Teacher who has a track record of 'Good' or better classroom practice and previous experience teaching children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and/or ASD or a teacher who has particular interest in these areas. The chosen Complex Needs Teacher will have the skills to teach flexibly and display all your quick-wit and utilise an enthusiastic attitude to excite pupils with various social, emotional and medical needs.

About the Complex Needs Teacher Role

As a Complex Needs Teacher at this school you will be teaching an upper KS2 class to be decided nearer the time. As a Complex Needs Teacher, you will able to plan lessons for all the pupils in a class, setting clear learning intentions and differentiated tasks. You will need to arrive with a good knowledge of different modes of communication such as Makaton and PECS.
