Salary: £16-20K DOE (Plus up to 5% company performance bonus and up to 5% personal KPI bonus)

You would be working for a multi-award winning 5th generation family business based in Chadderton near Oldham. They are widely recognised as a leading designer & importer of gift and housewares to the retail trade throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe. They have an immediate vacancy in their newly refurbished showrooms for a new member of the showroom team.

The successful applicant will be a self-starter and have the enthusiasm and vision to help grow their business and make a significant contribution to a busy team. This position requires an ambitious and motivated professional who is prepared to work hard to achieve business goals. You must be confident, positive, friendly and enjoy meeting people and developing relationships. This position requires someone with a very keen eye for detail and will never put off a job that can be done today. Excellent organisation and time management skills are essential, and an ability to manage a very varied workload is essential.


Day to day you will be working within the showroom environment, creating exciting and engaging brand displays and helping to maintain very high standards in visual merchandising and presentation with direction from the visual merchandiser. An understanding of the 'wow' factor required to keep us a leader in their field is essential.

You will be expected to meet and greet customers that are attending the showroom, carry out sales analysis and sales development by contacting existing customers to arrange appointments and showroom visits, whilst aiding in the development of new promotions and initiatives to make the showroom more of a draw.

You will also be required to help with stock taking and process weekly sales memos, to ensure pricing, discontinued lines and sale items are all up to date within the showrooms, whilst also supporting the photography department when required. This role will also require a significant amount of manual handling when moving the showrooms around and also during the break down and set up of the showrooms before and after trade shows.

You will be expected to help the showroom team with planning and preparation of trade shows, as well as attending all trade shows internally and externally to assist with break down and set up as well as selling and serving customers. Travel within the UK will be required occasionally with this role.
