This Swinton, Manchester based toy company has over 30 years' experience designing products to inspire young minds entering a world of learning and fun.

They are currently seeking an experienced Administration / HR Assistant, who will be based in their Head Office in Manchester.

Personal Specification:
First and foremost you must be a people person who's superbly organised, very computer literate and dedicated. Quick and accurate, you will be someone who enjoys being able to forward think in a proactive and pragmatic manner to support our HR Manager / Directors with a variety of tasks. You must be able to work on your own initiative as the HR Manager will not always be in the office. You will ideally be working in a similar role and be accustomed to supporting senior staff with any administrative and secretarial requirements.

You must have excellent oral and written communication skills, along with minute talking skills (essential) and preferably travel coordination experience (desirable), it is not necessary to have previous HR experience although this is an advantage.

You will also be required to cover our busy reception on a daily basis and to cover in times of holiday or absence.

Main Responsibilities:
- Proficient in providing secretarial and administrative tasks.
- Screening phone calls
- Booking flights / travel / accommodation, providing itineraries.
- Assisting with company HR and Health and Safety requirements.
- Booking appointments
- Assisting in payroll matters
- Creating new starter packs
- Assisting in staff inductions
- Keeping personnel files up to date
- Filing / typing and compiling confidential letters
- Organising interviews
- Producing employment contracts
- Applying for references
- Arranging meetings and taking minutes
- General administration duties
- Monitoring holiday and sickness
- Processing HR paperwork

Experience & Skills:
- An interest in working within HR and Legal - experience would be a distinct advantage
- Strong administration skills
- The ability to work within a fast paced demanding environment
- The ability to work on your own initiative, be forward thinking and have a desire to learn
