This role presents an exciting and unique opportunity for an enthusiastic Account Manager to join a fresh, fast growing company. You will join the sales team of the company, working closely with the operations department, which will require an individual to have a proactive approach bringing in new ideas and being a core member of the selling team. The role would be suited to person who wishes to build solid relationships with existing clients and developing business by offering their services only to potential clients who have an actual requirement and always with a courteous and polite manner.

Duties:
- Dealing with incoming telephone enquiries
- Responsible for prospecting and expanding the customer base by understanding what the customer wants and by submitting offers
- Production of sales quotes and follow ups
- Managing and negotiation of projects to point of sale with calls/emails
- Support to operations in coordinating sales and secured projects
- Logging client information/correspondence in to Sage ACT for each follow up call and project update
- Tracking of projects
- Researching new business verticals
- Cold/warm calling potential clients and building a long term rapport (consultative sale)
- Build rapport with key decision makers and develop/maintain long term relationships as appropriate
- Building/management of a pipeline of business by generating high-quality and effective sales leads
- Developing strong corporate relationships
- Identifying needs and matching services
- Build database of key decision maker contacts
- Arranging client meetings
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of clients and projects
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending exhibitions

Experience/qualities:
- Telephone sales to include limited cold/warm calling
- Understands the importance of agreeing sales in a compliant and professional manner
- Strong ability to work as part of team and support colleagues, whilst being able to work on own initiative
- Competent user of standard IT products and packages
- Excellent attention to detail
- An ability to deal with challenges and be able to prioritise work at short notice
- Self-motivated with a flexible attitude, and be able to adapt quickly to change
- Excellent organisational and time management skills

Essential Qualities:
- Sage Act CRM System - Client Relationship Management System experience
- Understanding and knowledge of the construction industry
- Previous sales/account manager related experience - minimum 1 year

The ideal candidate for this role will be confident, enthusiastic with a good telephone manner and ability to work under pressure.
