My client are currently looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join their team, after experiencing a fantastic period of growth. They are a well-established Northampton based engineering company who specialise in the rail and transport industry, designing and manufacturing key components.
The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing environment and will ideally have recent experience working with punch presses, ovens and ancillary machinery, conveyors and automated production lines, as well as experience in pneumatics and hydraulics. A basic understanding of automation and electrics would also be an advantage.
Candidates must be able to carry out planned and reactive maintenance schedules and prioritise workloads. Fault finding skills and an understanding of schematics are essential. Ideally applicants will need to be apprentice trained and hold similar or higher qualifications, City and Guilds / Btec / ONC Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
The successful candidate will receive a salary of up to £30,000 depending on experience.
The hours of work are 14:00 – 22:00 Monday – Friday, with overtime available and flexibility to undertake overtime required.
