Our client, a highly reputable logistics company based in Felixstowe, require a Credit Controller to manage cash flow by facilitating prompt payment to credit terms by customers and supporting the financial obligations towards suppliers. You will be supporting the Credit Manager in managing the debt profile and ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered too.
Chase outstanding balances via telephone, fax, and letter and e-mail system.
Report all accounts exceeding their credit limit to your line Manager
Document any communication / disputes in credit contacts.
Identify which accounts require further involvement from the Key Account Managers to aid cash collection.
Prepare cash flow information on actual and forecasted
Communication with suppliers and operational staff to ensure the smooth running of the processing function
Participate in supplier visits where necessary to discuss and resolve issues and also build good working relationships
Experience and skills required:
Ability to represent finance & provide partnering solutions to colleagues.
Superb accuracy and attention to detail
Good communicator, both face to face and on the telephone
High level of written and spoken English
Excellent PC skills including the use of MS Office
Excellent organisation and planning experience
Sensitivity to cross cultural boundaries
