Working as part of a well-established, successful and forward-thinking technology company, the Account Manager will support the team with engagement of customers and achieving wins, client retention, and upselling to existing clients, as well as achievement of target revenue. The key aim of the Account Manager is to deliver sustained revenue growth in line with the overall business plan and targets. To apply for the Account Manager role, you should have 12 months` experience within a B2B sales, account management or customer service role, with a proven track record of consistently over-delivering against targets. Educated to degree-level or with equivalent work experience, the Account Manager will possess excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.


As Account Manager, you will be required to build an opportunity pipeline through assessment of opportunities, targets and information gathering. You will be expected to build new leads, from existing clients providing proposals to meet and exceed customer requirements to close deals. Following up sales activity, formal proposal writing and negotiation, you will be required to work closely with other Sales and Marketing team members to deliver planned objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retention of clients within and beyond current contracted terms, to meet or exceed set targets and objectives
  • Contact existing customers, cross-sell and up-sell solutions
  • Work independently and develop a strong and robust sales pitch, including identifying new opportunities through existing account management
  • To provide assistance to the support team with any information relating to client information
  • Ensure that client contact/visits are achieved against the defined levels and frequency, and that the meetings with clients are with purpose and have quality output
  • Utilize the company CRM system to record all contacts and pipeline opportunities in the prescribed manner
  • To build a solid relationship with all key contacts and to demonstrate personal and company integrity and to maintain the client`s confidence
  • To ensure clear communication with support staff within the company to ensure achievement of SLAs and support levels to clients
  • Prepare accurate and timely sales forecasts from Microsoft Dynamics on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for management reports driving the quality, accuracy and process consistency in the sales team`s planning
  • You will liaise with customers at a senior level to build relationships, understand requirements, and establish quality leads and above all
  • Working collaboratively with the rest of the Sales, Marketing team with a good knowledge of the sales, and marketing pipeline

Essential Skills:

  • Experience within a sales and service role ideally within a contact centre, sales environment
  • B2B sales experience
  • Proven track record of consistently over delivering against targets
  • Experience the in management and developing relationships
  • Degree level or equivalent work experience can override this
  • Experience of selling software or IT related products or services would be an advantage
  • Quantifiable sales track record demonstrated by increasing responsibilities, growth and revenue
  • Highly developed networking, relationship, and interpersonal skills
