Our Client is a leading international manufacturing business based near Newport that are looking to recruit a driven and dynamic to join its existing team.

This position will be responsible for developing accounting within the group and for developing and implementing process improvement plans and process monitoring to ensure that planned benefits are achieved. This position will also be responsible for assisting with implementing accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance to local GAAP, US GAAP and policies. This position will work closely with all levels at multiple locations to ensure processes are robust for data capture.


  • Ensuring the mapping of all finance processes, both inputs and outputs and recommending ways to improve efficiency, reduce cost or increase stakeholder satisfaction

  • Developing and implementing process improvement plans and process monitoring to ensure that planned benefits are achieved.

  • Work with other members of the CI community to share and develop best practices across the globe.

  • Ensure overall general ledger integrity.

  • Coordinate accurate and timely month-end activities.Implement best practices.

  • Coordinate, Internal, and External audit engagements.

  • Initiate, recommend or provide audit remediation solutions through designated channels.

  • Verify the implementation of audit remediation solutions.

  • Timely and accurate submission of annual Corporate and Tax reporting requirements.

  • Reviews, monitors and controls monthly and quarterly balance sheet reviews.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Support shared services initiatives.

  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

    Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in a discipline of Finance

  • Demonstrated growth progression within Finance discipline

  • Willingness to travel

  • Strong working knowledge of Windows and Software (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Oracle)

  • Strong analytical and project management skills


  • Professional accounting qualification or Qualified by experience- part or fully qualified
  • Experience managing multiple balance sheets in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment, collaborate with team members within and outside of his/her department
  • High integrity, excellent work ethic, customer service orientated, ability to think outside of the box and ability to mentor and coach different types of subordinate/s.
