Senior On-Trade Sales Manager – English Sparkling Wine Company

£40,000 - £60,000 + bonus

London based with national travel

The client is an award-winning luxury English sparkling wine company.

Due to expansion, they are looking for an exceptional Senior On-Trade Sales Manager, who will report to the Head of sales and be responsible for building and establishing new distribution, maximising existing sales and increasing brand awareness in the premium London On-Trade.

You will have the ability to operate strategically as well as operating in a real-time environment.

The Role -

  • Lead the sales, development and luxury brand positioning London & Nationally
  • Drive new distribution for the range in highly targeted prestige accounts
  • Manage the most important customers, including flagship accounts and group business
  • Ensuring correct listing status and menu presence in London accounts
  • Liaising with all relevant counterparts from key wholesale partners
  • Implementing staff incentives and monitoring/analysing results
  • Overall responsibility for managing & developing the London On-Trade channel
  • Managing one direct report and being responsible for their continued development, training and professional coaching
  • Management of budgets and commercial targets
  • Regular reporting to Head of Sales on actions and key achievements
  • Maintain accurate database
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador, externally representing and building the brand
  • Support the Sales and Marketing teams with events and trainings
  • Host customer visits to the vineyards
  • Management of budgets and commercial targets

You -

  • Extensive knowledge of On trade market in London
  • Considerable UK wine trade experience
  • WSET level 2 or above
  • Strategic thinker with strong presentation skills
  • An affinity with luxury brands and their positioning
  • Strong on-Trade prestige track record and extensive contact book in London
  • IT literate – Microsoft / Apple / CRM systems

• Previous Experience working for a similar company essential

• Self-starter and able to roll up your sleeves and operate in a fast-paced environment

• Experience leading, managing & coaching a team

• Commercial expertise, great communicator, strong relationship builder & entrepreneurial flair

• Passionate and motivated to communicate the brand in a creative and

enthusiastic way
