Our client is a not for profit organisation looking to expand it's commercial activity for accelerated and sustainable growth.

It has a number of established revenue streams, partnerships and sponsorships and would like to attract an experienced Commercial Manager/Director into this Non-executive Director role, to work with the Senior Management Team to build strategies to preserve and expand current activities alongside exploring and developing new commercial opportunities.

Headline responsibilities will include:

Coaching managers to look outside of current activities and maximise opportunities within all potential markets, growing organisational capability for new business development

Leveraging market research and analytics to explore new markets, products and services

Sponsoring viable NBD projects

Managing financial performance analysis and review for all commercial activities

Developing the sponsorship portfolio, reviewing contracts and leading sponsor acquisition activities

Leading viability studies for partnership activities and licenced product development, recommending business models, managing intellectual proprerty rights etc.

Overseeing the management of retail operations and product/merchandise offering, pricing and positioning

Overseeing the strategic development of Marketing and Brand plans and activities

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:

Proven experience of developing, implementing and realising business growth strategies

Experience of successfully coaching and developing senior management NBD capability, ideally within a non-commercial environment

Well rounded commercial management experience including: developing and presenting growth strategies at Board level, financial performance analysis and budget setting, sponsorship and contract negotiation, licenced business models and considerations, retail and supply chain models and processes, research and market analysis techniques and models, marketing and communications and brand development strategies.
