Our client are an international corporate distribution organisation who are looking to recruit a person into their well established Purchasing team.

They offer excellent training and this is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get into purchasing within a busy forward thinking team.

No previous buying experience is essential, you will however have a passion for learning new things, have good IT skills and excellent communication both written and verbal.

The job will include:

Placing orders on suppliers for stock and sales orders based on using the phone and other IT related processes.
Managing stock levels
Interaction with sales people to inform on product lead time and delivery information
Working with Excel spreadsheets to manage stock levels
Producing weekly reports for Vendors
Updating the system with various customer and order details

No previous purchasing / buying experience is needed as training on current processes will be given , but a keen person, that is is happy to work in an offices environment as part of a team with a lot of interaction with many other departments in the company is essential.

Starting salary is £17k plus quarterly bonuses based on targets
