The Company:

As an established and recognised name, our client is a leader in the manufacture and supply of uniform clothing for healthcare, clerical and catering workwear throughout the UK. The business has a strong reputation within the workwear sector, providing high quality workwear that is both durable, comfortable and made with high performance materials.

Building on recent success now means our client is looking to grow its UK sales team with an additional Sales Executive in the South to take the business to the next level!

The Role:

Specifically the role will involve identifying and visiting potential new B2B business opportunities and account management of an existing portfolio of customers. The aim? To increase sales turnover in line with agreed targets. This role will provide first class customer service to the existing customer base, identifying and contacting potential new business opportunities within the South West region.

Amongst other things, key responsibilities will involve identifying and presenting contracts and price-lists to customers, sending out literature and samples to help customers make informed decisions and offering advice on the product range, eventually processing and managing the order through to completion. Gathering market intelligence and providing feedback on buying trends will be a key aspect of the role, as will providing feedback on product requirements which will help inform new product development. Representing the business at exhibitions will also be required, in a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable manner. The role is home based and will cover the geographical area of the South Coast & South West of England and South Wales - travel should be expected.

The Individual:

The advertised role is for a Sales Executive to work predominantly on public sector accounts such as the NHS, Local Councils, University Schools of Nursing and Hospices. The successful candidate will therefore need to have experience of dealing with the aforementioned customers at all levels in order to effectively generate sales.

The qualities of the successful individuals will include an enthusiastic approach, a verifiable track record of sales, an ability to immediately deliver direct sales from new and existing accounts, a full working knowledge of the needs of end user, as well as a commercial awareness of business including budget expectation and control, delivery of sales revenue, margin restraints and a forward thinking approach to direct marketing activity.

At least 2 years sales experience will be required, along with tangible facts and figures to demonstrate a successful career in B2B sales (new and existing).

Package / Remuneration:

The remuneration package offered at this stage is subject to the experience of the candidate, but will likely include the following:

  • Basic salary: Up to £35k + OTE
