Reporting to the board and working closely with the Senior Executives in this small and growing food manufacturing business the new Financial Controller will be required to take responsibility for the maintenance of the day to day accounting on Sage Line 50, liaise with debtors and suppliers, manage a team of two, the treasury function and compliance requirements including HMRC and external auditors and take responsibility for the continued development of the Monthly Management Reporting pack recommending changes where appropriate.

Forecasting will form an essential part of this role and prospective candidates will need to be comfortable presenting in meetings to banks, customers and other third parties.

You will be a fully qualified accountant with a background in a mid sized commercial (preferably manufacturing) business and with small management teams. We'd like you to display a drive, commitment and enthusiasm from the outset that indicates that you have the ability to motivate and influence others.

With demonstrably good 'soft’ skills and evidence at interview of obvious emotional intelligence, a mean sense of humour and the ability to manipulate spreadsheets you'll be well equipped to join a team of like-minded professionals keen to see this business grow in the next 3 years.

Knowledge of the Food industry would be useful but is not essential.
