Reporting into the Marketing Manager, the Senior Marketing Executive will be responsible for implementing year-round, content-led marketing campaigns for a publishing portfolio of an exciting range of publications, supplements and digital content sites.

Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Marketing Executive to take the lead on devising and executing marketing campaigns across this portfolio. Using data, customer insight, content and customer personas, to serve tailored messages and communications to drive subscriptions and advertising revenues across print and online.

Our client always stays ahead of technology adopting a 365 marketing strategy and implementation of marketing automation technology, so now is an exciting time to be part of their marketing team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Marketing Manager with campaign delivery, including:

o Online and digital marketing including social media and PPC

o Email campaigns with an emphasis on testing and optimising campaigns

o Copy, design, mailing, print

o PR and external advertising

o List building and development of prospect database

o Manage and update the areas of the content sites

  • Working closely with the Content team to distribute content and drive website traffic and new data acquisition
  • Plan and implement marketing campaigns that acquire and retain subscribers for print magazines, as well as support sales in generating and converting advertising leads into customers.
  • Overseeing the marketing campaign for the Directory
  • Working with international and UK media partners, associations and industry influences to extend reach and coverage through publications and at 3rd party events
  • Conducting and documenting year-round customer insight (DITLOCS, surveys, interviews etc.) to develop key audience personas and water-tight value propositions
  • Work with PPC, mobile app and SMS providers to deliver targeted and effective campaigns
  • Adopt new technology to ensure delivery of optimum marketing campaigns
  • Analyse all activity on an ongoing basis and implement/ put forward suggestions for improvements in response to findings
  • Work with Marketing Manager to deliver campaigns in line with marketing budgets and business objectives
  • Help evaluate customer research, market conditions, and competitor data and implement marketing plan alterations as needed
  • Subscriptions presence at events - plan and coordinate presence at relevant trade shows to raise the awareness of and generate new subscriptions
  • Advertising sales marketing support - plan and implement marketing campaigns to create sales support materials to aid in converting potential advertisers for the magazine and online, as well as existing advertisers

You will be a self-starter, who can drive and execute projects, foster innovation, focus on delivery, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively, accurately and effectively and demonstrate high levels of commitment and integrity

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills - ability to negotiate with suppliers, and maintain professional internal and external relationships
  • Digital marketing expertise across the full mix of marketing channels

  • A customer-led approach and interest in understanding key customer groups and creating the best experience possible for them

  • Good copy-writing skills and an understanding of the role of content to drive engagement and action

  • Basic design skills
  • 2-3 years of marketing experience
