Health and Safety Advisor (Facilities Management)

Birmingham

Salary up to £25k plus benefits

Our clients, a facilities services business, are looking for a resilient, forward thinking Health and Safety Advisor with excellent generalist H&S knowledge and experience, working with all levels of staff. This is a full-time position covering a range of sites in the region and may require some site visits.

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, responsible for:

  • Coordinating and implementing Health and Safety policy and procedures
  • Conducting site inspections, audits, risk assessments
  • Providing general Health and Safety advice
  • Writing reports and undertaking general administrative support to the H&S team
  • Planning your own diary and prioritising work accordingly
  • Statutory compliance
  • Management of accidents and incidents
  • Preventative actions
  • Presentations to prospective clients
  • Training
  • Environment - waste management

You will have experience of managing Health and Safety within Facilities Management coupled practical working experience of relevant Health and Safety legislation (CoSHH, Manual Handling, Fire, Construction, Control of Asbestos etc). Ideally NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification with NEBOSH Diploma / CDM qualifications being desirable.
