About the company

A leading law firm has a new job opportunity for a Records Manager to head up a small records team within their central London offices.

What you'll be doing

Key job responsibilities include managing the operations of the records department on a day to day basis, promoting the department, the development and implementation of policies and procedures and provide guidance and advice to colleagues across the business at all levels. The job holder will manage two records staff and work to develop them.

Who you are

This job would suit a records management professional with:

- leadership and managerial/supervisory skills

- extensive knowledge of records procedures and records retention principles and practices

- strong written and verbal communication skills

- a thorough knowledge of physical and electronic resources including knowledge of a records or document management system (EDRMS/DMS)

- strong interpersonal skills; ability that will enable you to deal effectively with the lawyers, management and all other staff.

- the ability undertake large long-term projects

- the ability to analyse problems and make sound decisions to solve them
