Kinross High School is an excellent and high achieving school based in South Perthshire, within easy commuting distance of the Lothian, Central, Fife and Tayside areas.

We are seeking an ambitious, forward thinking Home Economics teacher to complement our growing and vibrant Health and Wellbeing Faculty.

Our classrooms offer state of the art teaching facilities with 2 cooking classrooms and a teaching room with sewing machines. We enjoy very positive relationships across the school with our pupils and offer a range of extremely popular courses.

Interviews for this post will take place on Friday 5th October 2018 and will consist of a 30 minute lesson observation followed by a 30 minute interview.

Details of the lesson plan are as follows:

Class: S2 (a mixed ability class of approx. 20 pupils)

Lesson Length: 30 mins

Lesson Focus:

I am developing my understanding of the nutritional needs of people who have different conditions and requirements. HWB 3-32a

Prior Learning:

Over previous few weeks through practical activities using different foods and drinks, and theory lessons pupils have been learning to identify key nutrients, their sources and functions, and demonstrate the links between energy, nutrients and health. (HWB 3-31a)
