Our banking client has a new permanent role for an experienced technical team leader, in a particulary busy time of growth and transformation. As Team Leader within IT Services you will be responsible for providing leadership to a team of Technical Specialists who provide technical support across various platforms. The client has flexibitiy on which team the successful applicant leads, but will fall in the areas of Windows, Lotus Notes/Domino, Oracle/MS SQL, Websphere, Tivoli Access Mgt tools, ISAM8/9, ITIM. The technical team you lead will bedependant on your technical expertise. The Team Leader will coordinate the activities detailed below ensuring team deliverables are met efficiently and effectively. The Role Is All About... Team Meetings: Facilitate Team meetings and drive actions to resolution. Engage team members and encourage open and constructive communication. Management of baseline tasks ensuring these are delivered and tracked effectively through EPM and Technical Services Management system Track EPM project time and escalate any issues appropriately. Manage supply & demand for projects matching the resource/skills requirements. Analyse future demand and ensure no resource gaps (e.g. contractor justifications) Build good working relationships with Project Managers to ensure all requirements met. Fully support and manage the team through Our Performance. Work with team members to create IDP's specific to individual needs and support opportunities Manage skills matrix, understanding key skills and addressing any gaps or SPOF's Manage with a Talent Mindset (Education, Exposure and Experience) - Responsible for recruitment of staff/contractors ensuring adherence to current HR processes and policies We are keen to speak to you if you have the following background/expertise: Strong leadership skills, and some TL experience Ability to deliver change at a departmental level and to overcome obstacles to change Ability to communicate effectively with senior colleagues / stakeholders and to network within Innovation & Change and more widely within the Bank Strong analytical and problem solving skills Facilitation and decision making skills Ability to cope with multiple priorities in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment THE ROLE IS BASED FULL TIME IN CLYDEBANK. You will recieve a salary within £46,000 - £50,000 plus excellent benefits package, bonus, 30 days holiday plus 9 public days. For more information, apply today.
