SUMMARY FPSG are currently recruiting a Linux/Infrastructure Engineer for our global financial services sector client to work from their Glasgow City Centre office. You will join their existing yet growing team, working within a fast paced environment where you will be given the opportunity to progress within the team whilst influencing the development and deployment tools. In your role as Linux/Infrastructure Engineer, you will be involved in the implementation of the day-to-day tools & products used within the business. You will be liaising with 3rd party vendors and looking after the deployment of open-source development tools and products. These tools will then be hosted by the team using the company infrastructure to be used by the developers and testers throughout the business. AS THE LINUX/INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER YOUR DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES WOULD INCLUDE Evaluation and deployment of enterprise hosted development tools Conducting major upgrades to existing enterprise hosted products Building, maintaining and supporting infrastructure around the products to aid in enterprise use Liaising with users of our products Working with Enterprise Infrastructure teams Write scripts to automate various tasks TO BE A SUCCESSFUL LINUX/INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER, TECH EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE Strong Linux Skills (previous experience as a Linux SA beneficial) Strong scripting skills, as Python, Perl and Unix. Comfortable in a large enterprise environment.
